Evolution Road does live testing in October on Getingevägen!
Now during October, Evolution Road will be performing live testing on the electrical road on Getingevägen here in Lund. They will be testing data communication, electrical transferring and energy consumption amongst other things. Initially, a trailer will be used to gradually increase up to a bus at the end of the month.
The electrical road is built on Getingevägen in the bus lane and regular traffic is expected to move without issues during the test period. Are you curios about the project and want to know more? Get more information at evolutionroad.se or send an email to [email protected]
The project is made possible due to:
Elonroad, Lunds kommun, The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, LTH, Kraftringen, Skånetrafiken, Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI), Solaris Bus & Coach, Ramboll and Trafikverket.

#IoT is about putting new technology and data to work, to create the data foundation for the #SmartCity and the city's #digitalization journey.
With the Sensative IoT starter-kit for cities, this is neither complicated nor expensive.

HI all, I am new to this community and I am delighted to by part of the Smart Cities group. I am looking forward to communicate and receive insights for this forum. For me, driving Smart City in Axis Communications, I often get the question - What is Smart City? Isn't that everything?! We have in Axis tried to scope it to be three areas Public Safety, Urban mobility and Environmental monitoring. We believe these are the areas we can add most value to make cities more "livable". I want to through a question - What is your definition of Smart city?

        Veronica Sallberg ‎5 years ago
Mia Rolf‍ Actually to be more specific water, energy and waste arr included in environmental monitoring for us. One interesting area right now is for example Smart Lighting being both energy saving and safety related. Yes, agree I would like to understand other companies definition.

Well, Smart City, has different faces and definitions from territory to territory, depending on the level of development, culture, resistance to a new change, budget and resources, and lifestyle and the age average of city residents. Smart city would bring a unique perspective to Austin/US, than Mumbai. Somewhere, there is no open door for dialoguing about "smart city" and some countries have several road maps for it. A smart city needs a leader who has an ambitious goal.

Actually, @Ideon we also include Water, Energy and Waste management, and even Food innovation to support the 75% of the population, that is supposed to live in cities in the future.

I like the fact that you try to limit the scope a bit. Would be interesting to see how other companies see this?
